Innovative and user-friendly, the C.A 6456 earth and loop tester is particularly easy to use and also offers high metrological performance for testing installations' compliance with the European and international standards: NF C 15-100, IEEE, VDE 0100, NIN/NIV, ÖVE EN-1, etc.

Chauvin Arnoux CA6456 Installation Tester – Features:

  • direct, safe connection to installation mains
  • reliable measurements due to automatic permutation of L and N inputs if conductors are reversed at socket connection
  • automatic installation voltage and frequency measurement
  • POWER-OFF earth resistance measurement on installations using conventional auxiliary earth rods (3P or 2P)
  • POWER-ON earth resistance measurement of installation: ground loop and 1P earth with choice of measurement current (high for precision measurements or low so as not to trigger differential devices)
  • loop resistance and impedance: L-N, L-L, and L-PE from 0.20 to 4 kΩ
  • short-circuit current displayed up to 40 kA by calculation (Uref/ZL-PE)
  • clamp measurement of current and leakage current (option)
